FORD, Maxine P., 86, of Richmond, Ohio, formerly of Steubenville,
She was born June 15, 1925 in Sedalia, Doddridge Co., W. Va., a daughter of the late Archie J. and Flossie Cork Terry.
She was a retired secretary for the Jefferson County Dept. of Human Services and an active member of the First Baptist Church, Steubenville where she had served as Sunday School teacher for 25 years, as a deaconess and in many other capacities.
She is survived by her husband, Okey H. Ford whom she married October 18, 1945; a son, Brad (Betsy) Ford of Media, Pa.; a daughter, Pamela (Dennis) O’Donnell of St. Clairsville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Adam (Rija) Ford, Daniel (Adrienne) Ford, Molly and Patrick Ford, Colleen (Ben) Van Lear, Sean and Ryan O’Donnell; two great - grandchildren, Viktor and Luka Ford; two sisters, June Knode, Torrance, Pa. and Marie Colton, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four brothers, Denver (Carolyn) Terry, Bridgeport, W.Va., Lester (Karen) Terry, Parkersburgh, W.Va., John (Sarah) Terry, Parkersburgh, W.Va. and Wayne (Charlotte) Terry, Lancaster, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville on Monday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Doug Neavin officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made in Maxine’s memory to the First Baptist Church, Plum and Cedar Streets, Steubenville, OH 43952.
Entombment will follow in Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
