Mark S. Hitt, 57, of Steubenville, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 31, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born January 2, 1955 in Steubenville, Ohio.

Mark was a member of Bell Chapel Methodist Church. He is preceded in death bt his father Aubrey Hitt and step-mother Monree Hitt.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary "Mickey" Hitt; his mother, Wanda Clevenger and step-father Robert Clevenger; his two daughters, Tina Ely of Steubenville and Rebecca Norris of Georgia; one son, Mark Hitt II of Georgia; four sisters, Candace Hitt of Steubenville, Valerie (Adam) Gorby of Columbus, Cindy (Richard) Haught of Toronto, Ohio, and Kelly (Johnny) Allison of Steubenville; step-brother Robert (Tori) Clevenger of Colorado; grandchildren, Zachery, Alayna, and Tyler of Steubenville, and McKenzie and R.J. of Georgia; his Aunt Linda; Uncle Gene and Uncle Allen and sister-in-law, Diane Schultz.

Mark worked 22 years at Edmonds Trucking in McDonald, PA. He also served his country in the United States Navy.

Family and friends will gather on Sunday February 5, 2012 at Bell Chapel Methodist Church, 3419 State Route 213, Steubenville at 2 PM for a memorial service with Reverend Bill Hibbs officiating.
