Howard J. Bell, 85, of Wintersville, OH, passed away November 14, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born February 25, 1927 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Robert H. and Anna R. (Kessler) Bell.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Gilbert, Robert, Bernard, Thomas, and Albert; step-brother, Ralph Bell; and step-sister, Rena Simms.

Howard served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.

He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked as a payroll clerk.

He was a member at the Richmond United Methodist Church and the Wintersville American Legion Post 557.

Howard is survived by his wife, Esther (Montgomery) Bell; sons, William D. Bell of Wintersville, Howard Keith (Cindy) Bell of Riverside, California; and Bruce Edward Bell of Columbus, Ohio; and granddaughter, Christi Marie Bell.

Friends will be received on Friday from 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM with Pastor Carol Smith officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
