Mabel L. Schultz, 79, passed away November 23, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She was born November 19, 1933 in Richlands, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mardy and Pearl Lewis; sister, Darkis Jewell; brothers, Darnell and Jerry Lee; infant sister, Daisy; and infant daughter, Mary Beth.

She married her husband Thomas Schultz, Sr. August 2, 1958 and began their life together in Amsterdam. Mabel was a retired nurse of 30 years and a village council person. With the help of many friends she helped start the North East Ohio Food Pantry.

She was a loving mother to her son, Thomas (Kim) Schultz, Jr. and daughter, Marsha (Jeff) Prokopakis. She was also a proud grandparent of one grandson, David Schultz and three granddaughters, Heather, Sara Prokopakis, and Amanda Schultz; and two great grandchildren, Aeros and Aubree who she adored.

She also leaves behind brother, John L. Lewis; her best friend Mary Rayl; and her two little puppies.

Her care has been entrusted to the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home.

No service will be held at her request. She wishes all to remember her fiery attitude and she always told it the way it is.
