Delbert “Big Pete” Olexia, 63, of Wintersville, OH, passed away December 17, 2012 at Trinity Medical Center West Steubenville.

He was born April 27, 1949 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Mike Olexia and Nancy (Adkins) Klaes.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Jackie Libetti; grandparents, Alva Delbert and Mary “Granny” McCullough.

Pete is survived by his wife, Sandra (Hood) Olexia; daughters, Rena (Ron) Dayton of Steubenville and Darcie (Bryan) Olexia Daigle of New Orleans; brother, Larry (Sue) Libetti of Steubenville; sisters, Charmane (Pete) Carney of Wheeling and Mickey Olexia of Richmond; grandchildren, Katie Waligorski, Matthew Dayton, Sofia Olexia Daigle, and Tru Olexia Daigle; aunt, Margaret Olexia of Mingo Jct., OH; family friends, Larry (Mary) Saccericca, Chris McClain, and Thomas Bensie.

Friends will be received for a memorial service at the Harmony United Methodist Church, Mingo Jct., OH on Thursday December 20, 2012 at 7 PM with Pastor Sam Davis officiating.
