David William Cline, 76, of Annapolis, OH, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at his home after a brief illness surrounded by his family.
He was born November 28, 1941 in Bloomingdale, OH, the son of the late Charles Samuel and Harriett Agnes (Dunlap) Cline.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Judith Johnson, Gloria Davis, and Becky Vieria.
David was Methodist by faith. He served our country in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1979. He retired with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Commanders Club, American Legion, and Bronze Leader. David was a carrier for the Herald Start from 1996 to 2011.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years Margaret Marie (McDannels) Cline; a daughter, Lisa Marie (Seth) McNutt; three grandsons, David Ray (Shelby) Richards Jr., Bradley Homer (Shelby) Richards, and William “Billy” Daniel Schultz; and a granddaughter, Cheyenne Alizabeth Schultz; three great granddaughters, Julia Grace Richards, Anna-Mae Richards, and Ripley Marie Richards; one great grandson, Homer Bradley Richards; four sisters, Shirley Hayes, Audrey (Merle) Mader, Sandra Ferrell, and Nancy (Richard) Young. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond and again on Thursday from 12 Noon until time of funeral services at 1 PM with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating.
Entombment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville with full Military Honors.
