On May 31, 2011 Thomas N. Firm, 85, of Wintersville, Ohio entered his eternal rest in heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, with his loving family by his side in his home.

He was born September 30, 1925 in Steubenville, a son of the late William and Emma Smith Firm. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Aaron Boyd on June 12, 2010; and brothers, William Firm Jr. and Samuel Firm.

He was a member of East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross, 25 year club of Weirton Steel, and Gadabouts Senior Group and always enjoyed their time together. 

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Wanda Lowery Firm; son, Thomas (Dianna) Firm of Toronto; daughters, Becky (Fred) Jones of Amsterdam and Janna (Danny) Boyd of Stanardsville, VA; grandchildren, Fred (Betsy) Jones, Joel (Breanne) Boyd, Elisha (Isabel) Boyd, and Kayla Firm; great grandchildren, Freddy Jones VI and Danny Boyd; brother, Charles (Marlene) Firm of Toronto; sister, Eva Jane Perlinger of Monongahela, PA; Nephews, Donald, Edward and Todd Firm and nieces Sandra Reynolds and Cathie Firm Hart whom he loved dearly and several other nieces and nephews who were very special in his heart; always part of the family, Brandi Boyd Ceilakie, his dear friend and neighbor Bill Chappell and Jim Combs; and all his buddies from the Jefferson County Airport.

Tom had amazing faith in the Lord and not only Talked the Talk, but he also Walked the Walk of faith that he believed. He never met a stranger and loved everyone and they loved him.

Special thanks to Dr. Sarjit Singh and Dr. Atul Shetty as well as Life Line Hospital for their love and amazing care.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Friday from 2-8 PM. Viewing  Saturday from 10AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM at the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross with Pastor Tom Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow at Union cemetery, Steubenville.
