Berul Roscoe Calabrese, 84, of Wintersville, OH, passed away September 3, 2019 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
He was born May 11, 1935 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Roscoe George and Jessie Pearl (Mellott) Calabrese.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Marla Jean Calabrese; brothers, Leo and Russell Lee.
Berul retired from Weirton Steel. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club.
Berul was an avid hiker and hiked across the nation with his friend Robert “Goldie” Golden.
He enjoyed traveling in the RV with his wife Carol and their Westies, Big Cuffy and Little Cuffie.
He lived a full life and enjoyed a long retirement.
Berul was a loving husband, devoted dad, and loved being referred to as “Pap Pap” by his grandchildren and “Old Pap Pap” by his great grandchildren. He was his grandchildren’s biggest fan and faithfully attended all their events.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol J. (Noble) Calabrese; children, Pamela (John) France and Rick (Patty) Calabrese; sister, Blanche (Larry) Williams; grandchildren, Kristina (Keith) Denman, Jason (Jill) Calabrese, Dr. Jennifer (George) Speakman, Eric (Stacy) France, Michael (Camille) France, and Marla (Craig) Currie; great grandchildren, Cole, Ellie, and Brody Denman, Brianna, Braelyn, and Brynn Speakman, Emma and Jacob Calabrese, and Kiva France; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Saturday from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 12 Noon.
Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
