George Cogley Obituary

George Lewis Cogley 72 of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Saturday, February 25, 2018 at Trinity Medical Center West. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during Vietnam and was retired from Weirton Steel.

George was born July 22, 1945 in Toronto, Ohio a son of the late Norman and Elsie Toy Cogley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman Alexander, Simon Wright and Dorsey Ralph “Jake” Cogley; sister Ida Ruth Pinkerton;

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Brown Cogley; children, Terry Clifton of Wintersville, Steven (Stacey) Clifton of Follansbee, Lisa (Todd) Cottrell of Toronto, Crystal (Chad) Wiley of Akron, Crystal (Corey Mitchem) Clifton; grandchildren, Emma, Kennedy, and Jacob Cottrell, Jenna Mae and Austin Clifton, Keasha Barz, Cheyanne Clifton, David Clifton, Savannah Clifton, Paige Wiley, Tristan Mitchem.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 5 PM until time of funeral services at 8 PM with Pastor Jeremy Ellis officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in George’s name can be made to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center, 3204 Johnson Rd. Steubenville, OH 43952.
