Jacqueline LaRue

Jackie LaRue, 89 of Steubenville, Ohio passed away peacefully Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Valley Hospice after a long illness. She is survived by her husband of 46 years Raymond; brother, David; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was an active member of Bell Chapel United Methodist Church where she helped start the women’s group Busy Needles. This group was active in  various charity organizations where they supplied knitted and crocheted blankets and other keepsakes for newborns and others as gifts. She was a lover of all animals, but had a special place in her heart for her horses. She was very active in the Steubenville Saddle Club until her later years and was instrumental in mentoring several young girls in showing their horses. Jackie had a passion for her life and showed this thru her long and difficult illness. While she will be missed by many, we can take comfort in knowing that she is now free of pain and at peace. With her passing, Jackie is now re-united with her mother and father, two sisters, and one brother who passed away before her.

Friends will be received Monday July 3, 2017 at Bell Chapel United Methodist Church from 11 AM until times of funeral services at 1 PM with Pastor Jeff Proya officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville. Arrangements under the care of Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes.
