James H. Browning, 95, of Hopedale, OH, passed away September 24, 2018 at the VA Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born June 16, 1923 in Ulysses, KY.
Preceded in death by parents George and Elizabeth (Morrison); first wife, Rachel (1973); second wife, Emmi (1991); and son, Joseph.
A Navy veteran of WWII, and a retiree of National Steel, he was a director of the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry, and a founding Elder of the Faith Evangelical Church.
Jim is survived by wife, Grace (Pietrowski) Browning; sons, Michael (Michalene)and Stephen (Susan); daughters, Andrea (Dennis) Kapellen, Bobbi Jo (John) Ceurvorst, and Rebecca (Matt) Kallaher; step-sons, Dolvey (Mary ) Camp, Jr., Charles (Tammy) Shockley III, Herbert (Amy) Humphrey II, and Hank (Lisa) Humphrey; and step-daughter, Jessica (Cliff) Likens; many grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Hopedale. Jim was a member of the American Legion #682
Hopedale, Ohio who will be conducting the Military Honors.
