On the morning of July 18, 2019, James William Metcalf left this world and joined Jesus in his new home.
He was born July 7, 1942, a son of the late Robert L. and Myrtle Maxine (Galbraith) Metcalf.
Jim left behind his wife of almost 19 years, Anna (Lawson) Summerville Metcalf. Also a step-daughter, Kerry (Brian) Summerville, a step-son, Dane (Beth) Summerville, and a step-grandson, Anthony Aldridge.
Also surviving are his children, Michael in Cleveland, OH, Jaime (Heather) Metcalf, and Jennifer (Steve) Metcalf Fox with five grandchildren all of Long Island, NY.
Jim served in the US Army serving part time in Korea.
He was former FBI, a retired NYC police officer, Guard at Lima State Prison, photography teacher at EGCC and owner of Capture the Moment Photography. He also did photography at Jamboree in the Hills for many years.
He was active in the Wintersville American Legion Post serving as Adjutant for 12 years, District Adjutant and Department Historian.
The family wishes to thank Charity Hospice, Capital Health and the Veteran’s Clinic Akron Branch for all the help and care we received.
Per Jim’s wishes there will be no services.
