June E. Burris

June E. Burris, 92, of East Springfield, OH, passed away peacefully June 24, 2019 at Gables Care Center.

June was born July 27, 1926 in Mingo Jct., OH, a daughter of the late Herman “Mac” and Birdie Dawson.

June started her work career at the A & P in Steubenville, where she met her husband. She was an Avon President’s club member for several years.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Burris in 1987; brothers, Herman, Laurence and Curtis Dawson; sister, Mary Janet Dawson; and great granddaughter, Emily Rose Cooley.

June is survived by daughters, Janet M. Burris and Jo Ann (William) Meyer; two granddaughters, Valerie Cooley and Stephanie Pethtel; great grandsons, P.J. (fiancée Shay) Cooley and Tyler Eygabroad; great granddaughter, Samantha Cooley; great-great granddaughter Autumn Cuichta; sisters-in-law, Connie and Eileen Dawson; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in East Springfield and the East Springfield Homemakers.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Greg Bush officiating.

 Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Steubenville, OH.
