Mackenzie Rae Smith

Mackenzie “Kenzie” Rae Smith, 14, of Bloomingdale, OH, passed away August 11, 2019.

She was born June 20, 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Ross and Marsha (Barker) Smith.

Kenzie was a student at the Edison High School where she was a cheerleader and a member of the Junior Beta Club.

She was active in the Buckeye Variety 4-H Club and loved her animals. Last year she was awarded Grand Champion at the Jefferson County Fair.

Kenzie was the one who would bring you up, when you were down, and she will be remembered for her beautiful smile.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Colby Walker Smith; maternal grandparents, Howard and Phyllis Barker; paternal grandparents, Patricia Smith and John Smith; uncles and aunts, Howard (Brooke) Barker, Jr., Robert Barker, and Tim Barker, Justin (Melissa) Barker, Bonnie (Ronnie) Westfall, Clay (Jennifer) Smith, and Erin (Mike) Goodlan; many cousins and friends.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 1-7 PM and Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville.

On Friday, August 16 additional visitation will be held at the Richmond United Methodist Church from 10 AM until time of funeral services at 11 AM with the Reverend Byron Bufkin officiating.

Burial will follow at Unionport Cemetery.
