Thomas "Luke" Lucas

Thomas "Luke" F. Lucas, 83, of Wintersville, OH, passed away February 26, 2015 at his home.

He was born January 30, 1932 in Mingo Jct., OH, a son of the late Jon and Mary (Matuska) Lukacs.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughter, Kristina Ann Lucas; brothers, John, Andrew "Archie", George, and Joseph Lucas; sister, Mary Kocsis.

Luke was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, St. Francis Society, and the Men's Club. He was a retired laboratory supervisor from Satralloy Inc. and later retired from Aquinas School. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Luke was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for Troop 80 in Mingo. He was involved in the PrimeTime Senior Center.

Luke is survived by his wife, Judy (Beany) Lucas of Wintersville; daughter, Janice (Thomas) Barnard of Pittsburgh, PA; son, Thomas R. (Linda) Lucas of Sandusky, OH; and grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, and Meghan Barnard, Kelsey Berardi, and Kassidy Lucas.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville.

A Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 5:45 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday at 10 a.m. with Father Francis Dankowski as celebrant.

Entombment will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
