Alexander "Ike" Monigold, 60, of Wolf Run, Ohio passed away surrounded by his family on March 29, 2022. He was born September 11, 1961 in Steubenville, Ohio. Son of the late Walter Monigold and Rosemond (Vought) Monigold. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Walter (Teresa) Monigold; and his sisters, Susan (Brian) Kelley and Joyce Debnar.

He is survived by his sons, Harold (Courtney) Monigold and Christopher (Terri Mitzel) Monigold; friend & the mother of his children, Lorraine; his brother, Raymond (Harriet) Monigold; his sisters, Patricia (Randy) "Ohler" Harris, Brenda (Dick) Walters, Cindy (Don) Grim, and Roseann (Gus) Jacob; his 6 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Ike loved his sons, Harold and Chris, who he had with their mother, Lorraine. Loraine and Ike remained friends through the years. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and they enjoyed being with him. Ike always loved his family and friends and their time they spent together.

He worked with Fred Plavka when he was young doing construction work. He learned a lot with Fred and Randy Chivers. Later on, Ike decided to open his own construction business and loved doing what Fred had taught him which was do what makes you happy and he did. You can see Ike's work throughout our community. He also had a garbage route. He really loved being around people and having those two businesses was awesome for him.

Ike loved doing things to make others happy. He had such a caring heart. He loved fishing, hunting, playing horse shoes, and darts. His favorite place to go was always our Amsterdam V.F.W. Post 232.

Ike, you will be missed by your sons and your family and friends. You will never be forgotten.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral home, 285 Second Street, Bergholz, Ohio on Saturday, April 2 from 4-6 P.M. There will be a service at 6 P.M. with Don Grim and Dick Walters speaking. Everyone is invited to the Amsterdam V.F.W after the service for food and fellowship.
