Alfred Joseph Mazur, Sr., 78 of East Springfield, OH passed away Friday, July 30, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville. Alfred was born January 11, 1932 in Wolf Run, Ohio, a son of the late Frank J. and Blanche Lewandowski Mazur. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter and a grandson, two sisters, Blanche Karman and Dorothy Shore. He was retired from Labor Local #809 and loved farming, which he did for many years. Alfred was a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church and PNA. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Renforth Mazur, three sons Alfred (Pam) Mazur, Jr. of Newark, OH, Frank (Roxanne) Mazur and Joseph (Susan) Mazur both of East Springfield, a brother Frank (Jean) Mazur of Amsterdam, five granddughters and one grandson Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amsterdam with Reverend Father John McCoy as celebrant.
