Alice E. Egy, 84, of Unionport, Ohio, passed away November 5, 2014 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

She was born February 20, 1930 in Powhatan Point, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert S. and Neva L. (Caldwell) Kettlewell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward V. âHookã Egy who passed away on February 24, 2007; great grandson, Isaac Cronin; son-in-law, Dave Steinbrink; and brothers, Tucker and Chuck Kettlewell.

Alice was a member at Unionport Christian Church where she once played the piano. She enjoyed reading and making quilts especially for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Allen (Pam) Egy of Unionport; daughter, Lee Steinbrink of Geneva; 4 grandchildren, Dusty and Doug Steinbrink, Rick (Jessica) Mellott, and Shawnna (Dan) Cronin; great grandchildren, Halle, Aubri, and Laney Mellott, and Kayla Cronin; brother, Bob (Gloria) Kettlewell of Gnadenhutten, Ohio; and sisters, Edna (Bob) Giammarco of Steubenville, Edith Orkis of Pataskala; and Ruth Ann Greiffenhagen of Wellington.

A memorial service for Alice will be held at noon on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Christian Church of Unionport with Pastor Jeremiah Kuttler officiating.
