Amuel Jan Kasper, 83, of Bloomingdale, Ohio, passed away on July 6, 2026. He was born on November 12, 1942, in Martins Ferry, Ohio, to the late Amuel Charles Kasper and Elise (Orsillo) Kasper. In addition to his parents, Amuel is preceded in death by his wife, Karen (Shoup) Kasper; and his sister, Zelia Ann Kasper Banal.
Amuel was a graduate of Dillonvale High School. He played and excelled in many sports including football, basketball, and baseball. He then went to work as a machinist at Hanna-Consol Coal Company and for US CAN. He was a member of the Steubenville Association of the deaf, the Akron Canton Deaf Campers and Anglers Club, attended the Canton Deaf Outreach Church, and taught sign language at Jeff Tech for many years.
He is survived by his son, Mark Kasper; his granddaughters, Katie (Michael) Kasper-Martin and Lacey (Austin) Kasper; and his great grandsons, Weston Amuel Jan Kasper and Waylon Mark Arthur Kasper.
In honor of Amuel’s wishes, there will be no services held.
Private arrangements are entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes.
