ANN LANCASTER, 74, of Wintersville, OH, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010 in the Laurel's of Steubenville. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio July 8, 1935. She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Major, her mother, Ruth Brown Major DiLeonardis, her husband, Dale Lancaster who died in 1997 and a brother, Glen Major. Ann worked as a nurse's aide at the Royal Pavilion in Steubenville and for REM in Follansbee. She is a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. She was an avid supporter of Indian Creek Athletics and Band and was known as "Mama Huey" for her support of her children's rock band, "Mongo Huey". She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Bruce) Barrett of Wintersville, two sons, Russell (Beryl) Lancaster of Toronto, OH and James (Cyndi) Lancaster of Smithfield, OH; by two sisters, Joyce (Steve) Parrish of Steubenville and Barb (Bob) Reisling of Gahanna, OH; by 12 grandchildren, Bryce, Ryan, Tiffany, Bryan, Danielle, Ian, Decker, Jessica, Nate, Kayla, Jennifer and Bryan and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 8 PM Tuesday evening following calling hours. The Reverend Father Jeffrey Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Jewett.
