Obituary

Anthony "Tony" Nicosia, 75, passed away January 13, 2022, in Steubenville, Ohio, surrounded by his family. He was born July 10, 1946, in Steubenville, Ohio. The son of the late Thomas and Blanche (Cresta) Necosia. In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph, Samuel, and Frank; and his sisters, Connie Nicosia, Rosalie Brown, Anna Mohn, and Phyllis Collins.

Tony was a laborer in Local #809, Lance Cramer Reclamation, and was also in UMWA working at Boich Mine, International Union of Operating Engineers Local #18. He was a member of the Weirton Elks Club Lodge #1801, the Steubenville Masonic Lodge #45 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, Steubenville Shrine Club and Aladdin Temple A.A.O.N.M.S of Columbus, Ohio.

Tony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Lue (Lelless) Nicosia; his son, Frank (Joi Lynn) Nicosia; his daughter, Toni Jo (Martin) Madden; and his grandchildren, Meghan, Anthony, Angelo, and Austin Paul-Orecchio.

Friends will be received at Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville, Ohio on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM until Masonic Service at 6:30 PM with funeral service following at 7:00 PM.
