Barbara Shelton, 73 of Richmond, Ohio took eternal rest to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Sienna Woods Nursing Home, Wintersville after a lengthy illness. Barbara was born December 25, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Myrtle Lucas Householder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Householder. She enjoyed Christian fellowship with various churches and many people in the area during her life. She was a former employee of the Miners and Mechanics Bank of Steubenville. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty years, James "Jay" Shelton, son, Jay David (Angela) Shelton of Richmond, daughter, Beth Anne (Jeffery) Wiley of Hockessin, DE; two grandchildren Douglas Wiley and Julia Shelton, two step-grandchildren Cara Arthurs and Paige Arthurs. Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St, Richmond on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home with Reverend Carol Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Union cemetery.
