Belva Iola Laney, 88, of Mechanicstown, OH, passed away February 4, 2015 at her home.

She was born August 2, 1926 in Kensington, OH, a daughter of the late Riley H. and Stella B. (Reid) Hutson.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Laney who passed away on May 7, 2014; son, Francis Laney; brothers, James R. and John C. Hutson; and sisters, Cora Davis, Myrtle Mangun, and Nancy Webster.

Belva was a member of Riley Church.

She is survived by her sons, Paul R. Laney of Salineville, OH, David (Sheila) Laney of Mechanicstown, OH, and Clifford Laney of Mechanicstown; daughters, Shirley (Earl) Miller of Bolivar, OH, Delora "Boots" Auman of Mechanicstown, OH, and Anna F. Laney of Minerva, OH; sister, Janet Borland of Alliance; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, Bergholz.
