Bertha Mae Martin, 87 of East Springfield, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 09, 2008 at her home. She was a member of the East Springfield Christ United Methodist Church where she served on Administration Council. She also was a member of East Springfield Senior Citizens and enjoyed bowling. Bertha was born November 28, 1921 in Broadacre, Ohio, a daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Cline Blake. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Martin on August 1, 2008, sisters, Mary Virginia Wheeler, Betty Blake, and Ruth Wallace. She is survived by two sons, George (Vivian) Martin of East Springfield and Walter (Georgia) Martin of St. Charles, Missouri;one brother Donald Arthur Martin of Idaho; five grandchildren, George Robert (Sarah) Martin, Janet (Thomas) Walker, Jennifer (Christopher) Gooch, Crystal (Mike) Kretzler, and Wendy (Kyle) Pinkley; nine great-grandchildren, Luke, Rebecca, Kevin, Nolan, Kyle, Anna, Cooper, Addison, and Tommy. Friends call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond, OH on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services at the funeral home Friday at 11 AM with Reverend James Stafford officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
