BETTY A. EVANS, 63, of Bergholz, OH, passed away Monday, January 14, 2008 in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, following a one week illness. She was a homemaker and member of the Bergholz Baptist church. Betty was born in Joliet, IL, February 4, 1944, a daughter of the late Walter and Barbara Phelps Rudd. She married Basil H. Evans, Jr who died September 21, 2001. She and Basil had four sons; Raymond (Carol) Evans, Harlem Springs, OH, Larry (Barbara) Evans, Amsterdam, Todd Evans and Shawn (Jennifer) Evans, both of Bergholz. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Rena, Melissa, Tanner and Basil, one great grandson, Jacob, and one sister, Laura (Richard) Antill of Bridgeport, WV. Betty's family will hold private services for her at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 285 Second St., Bergholz with the Reverend Chuck McNatt officiating.
