Betty Jo McClain-Gotschall of Wintersville, Ohio, went to be with her Lord on December 3, 2024. She was born in West Virginia on May 12, 1936, to the late Oran Donald and Fern Edna (Skidmore) McClain. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Myrl Forest Gotschall; her infant daughter, Brenda Jo; her sons, Doug Gotschall and Mark Bell; her infant great grandson, Camden; and her 6 siblings.

She was an amazing mother, Malmal, great grandma, aunt and friend. She loved her family above all.. She worked at the Carriage Inn in Steubenville for over 30 years. She was loved and respected by all. She loved watching her Hallmark movies and Golden Girls, watching her birds, working in her gardens, crocheting, and most of all, listening to her bible tapes at bedtime.

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Gotschall of Wintersville, Ernie (Heather) Gotschall of Massillon, Tonya Lane of Wintersville, and Rick (Lisa) Bell of Cambridge; her grandchildren, Nikki, Michelle, Erika, Ricky, Krissy, Amber, Kylie, Jenna, Billy, Kayla, Victoria, and Jayden; her great grandchildren, Timmy, Emily, Izel, Madison, Vayla, Joey, Owen, Emylia, Kaileb, Kyliah, Kaider,  Chandler and Flynn; her great great grandchildren, Kyzer and Hensley; and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

The family wanted to extend a special thank you to Valley Hospice and passport for all of their help during this difficult time.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd, Wintersville, Ohio, at 1 P.M.
