Betty J. Haught, 79, of East Springfield, OH, passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville surrounded by her family.
She was born September 10, 1935 in Bowling Green, KY, a daughter of the late David and Bernice (Reeves) Key. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. Haught who died April 5, 2005, by a son, David Earl Haught in 1964, a daughter, Marla Sabitino in 2014, a brother, Jimmy Key and sister, Barbara Smith.
She was owner/operator of Smile and Save Used Furniture of East Springfield, was a longtime EMT with the East Springfield Volunteer Fire Department and an avid bingo player.
She is survived by a son, Rodney (Shelly) Haught, Mechanicstown, OH, a daughter, Sadara (Jason) Busby, East Springfield, OH, son-in-law, Phil Sabatino, Amsterdam, grandchildren, Marissa Haught (Jordy Elifritz) and Ryan Haught, Kristin Baker (Ethan Wartluft), Jace and Aidan Busby and a great-grandson, Clayton Joseph Wartluft and two sisters, Opal Key and Linda Snyder, both of Bowling Green, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Steve Johnson.
She will be interred next to her husband in East Springfield, OH.
