Betty Jane (Henthorne) Leas, 85, of Annapolis , Ohio passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Trinity Medical Center West.

Betty was born September 3, 1926 in Steubenville , Ohio , a daughter of the late Robert and Esther Ault Henthorne. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Albert "Glenn" Leas who passed away February 6, 2009 ; sister, Marie Henthorne Brown; and half brother, Robert Henthorne.

Betty was a homemaker and a graduate of Hopedale High School class of 1944. She was a member of Annapolis United Presbyterian Church and the Harrison County Historical Society.

She is survived by her two sons, William (Phyllis) Leas and Rodney (Jo Ellen) Leas both of Annapolis; 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; half brother, Fred (Shirley) Pfouts of Brewster; half sisters, Virginia Craig of Columbus, Doris (Galen) McHenry of Grove City, OH, Myrtle Pfouts of Columbus, Ruth (Sonny) McGill of Marysville, Ruth (Duane) Smith of Wichita, KS, and Cathy Henthorne of Wichita, KS; and a sister in law, Margaret Henthorne of Vanzant, MO.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St. , Richmond , on Friday for a 1 PM funeral service with the Reverend Chris Leas officiating.

Burial will follow at Leas Cemetery .
