Betty Jane Roe, age 102, went to sleep on this earth and awoke in the arms of her Savior on November 26th, 2024.

Betty was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was the foster daughter of Francis A and Lillian M Saik of Mingo Junction, Ohio

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Wiliam j Roe and by her precious grandson, Jason T. Roe of Florida.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie (Dave) Barnhouse; Richmond, Ohio. Son, Reverend William J Roe Jr. (Leanna) of New Philadelphia, Ohio. Grandchildren; Brent (Kym) Barnhouse, Atlanta, GA., Kim (Ty) Fonow, Richmond, Ohio, Reverend Brock (Stephanie) Barnhouse, Del Ray Beach,  FL.,  Jami (Darrin) Gray, Sunbury, Ohio,  Reverend Matthew (Lori) Roe, Springfield, Ohio and Megan (Marc) Quigley, Camden, SC, Grand-daughter in-law, Lana (Mike) Willis, Babson Park, FL. 19 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.

She graduated from Mingo High School in 1940, attended OVGH in Wheeling, working as a Nurse's Aide at Ohio Valley Hospital and worked at WT Grant as well as New Alexandria Elementary School as a cook.

She accepted Jesus as her Savior in 1955 and continued in her spiritual journey under Reverend Mae Lacy at the Bloomingdale Church of God. She claimed II Corinthians 5:17 as her testimony throughout her life.

In her latter years, she attended Weirton First Church of the Nazarene.

Visitation will be held at the Weirton First Church of the Nazarene on Colliers Way, Weirton, WV on Monday, December 2nd from 5 pm-8 pm with Celebration of Life, Tuesday, December 3rd at 11:00 am, visitation at 10:00 am.

Celebration of Life will be officiated by Pastors, Reverend Bennett Briles and Reverend Larry Barkley, Reverend Brock Barnhouse and Reverend Matthew Roe.
