Obituary

Beverly Anne (Findling) Wilson , 70 of Hopedale, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Trinity Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 22, 1940 in German Township in Harrison County , the daughter of the late Ralph V. and Mary Rosella (Birney) Findling.

She was a secretary at Jewett High School from 1958-1964 and retired from Harrison Hills administrative offices after 19 years. She was a member and elder in the former Centre Unity Presbyterian Church and then attended Hopedale Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Unionport Chapter 360 Order of The Easter Star and Harrison County Farm Bureau serving as youth advisor for many years. She and her husband also enjoyed spending the winter months in Avon Park , Florida with loving friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette I. ( Wilson ) Williams.

Beverly was loved and will be sadly missed by her high school sweetheart and husband of 52 years, J. Lawrence Wilson. Also surviving are daughter Suzanne (Jim) McConnell of Richmond; daughter Vonda Barnhart of Carrollton ; son-in-law Patrick Williams of New Philadelphia ; brother Craig (Shirley) Findling of Carrollton; sister Imogene (Jim) Compher of New Philadelphia. She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandkids; Vicki (Vratpal) Gogikar, John McConnell, Vance McConnell, Bobby McConnell, Mary McConnell, Connor McConnell, Grace Barnhart, Toby Barnhart, Kathleen Williams, and Max McConnell.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. , Wintersville on Saturday, November 12, from 2-7 PM where funeral services will be on Sunday, November 13 at 1 PM with the Reverend Carol Smith and the Reverend Ted Whitaker officiating. A graveside service of internment will be at the convenience of the family at Holly Memorial Gardens , Colerain , Ohio . Eastern Star Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718 , Oklahoma City , OK 73123-1718 .
