Bruce Charles Bowers, 75, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2025.

Born to Charles L. Bowers and Ida Floto Bowers, Bruce spent his career working many roles at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, finishing as a strand operator before the mill's closure. Afterward, he returned to school and earned his business degree with honors from Eastern Gateway Community College. In addition to his parents, Bruce is preceded in death by his brother, Brian "Bean" Frederick Bowers.

Bruce was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, and sense of humor. One of his lifelong callings was caring for his family, friends, and the less fortunate often buying food to share, giving without recognition, and checking in on those who needed it most. His caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Bruce was the faithful husband of Donna Burton Nonemaker Bowers; the proud father of his three sons, Ben Bowers, Bill Bowers (Rachael Finney), and Bob Bowers (Carolyn Millick); and Bruce leaves behind four grandchildren, Kota, Brynn, and Boen Bowers, and Alec Finney.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
