CARL D. TAYLOR, 81, of Wintersville, OH, passed away in his home Thursday, December 10, 2009 following an extended illness.
He was born in Toronto, OH, March 16, 1928. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Helen (Grimm) Taylor and three brothers, Paul, Ford and Joesph.
He was a retired Electrician out of IBEW Local #246 and a member of the Bell Chapel Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Tri County coon Hunters Assn, an avid bowler and a ball player in his earlier years. He was a member of the Toronto Masonic Lodge #583 and a 32 second degree mason.
He is survived by his wife, Marguerite "Peg" (Clark) Taylor whom he married April 10, 1948, by a son, David and wife Karen of Toronto, two grandsons, Jeff (Lori) Taylor of Pickerington and Brock Taylor who serves with the US Coast Guard out of Cleveland, by 2 brothers, Glen (Dottie) Taylor of Albion, PA and Gary (Cheryl) Taylor of Columbus, OH, by 2 sisters, Janice Bundy of Columbus and Joyce Wells of Worthington and many special nephews and nieces.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond from 2 PM Saturday until 6 PM. Funeral services will be held for Carl at 6 PM Saturday at the funeral home with the Reverend Jeff Proya officiating.
Interment will be at a later date.
