Obituary

Carol Ann Browning, 80, of Bloomingdale, Ohio passed away peacefully with her close family by her side on April 11, 2025. She was born May 5, 1944 in Bloomingdale, Ohio, a daughter of the late Lowell and Pauline (Cline) Mercer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ed Mercer and Larry Dean Mercer.

Carol Ann was a member of the Unionport Christian Church and Unionport Eastern Star. She loved to cross stitch quilts and was known for her baking to give to others. She loved gardening, flowers and was famous for her sweet tea. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities.

She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Browning of 57 years; son, Kevin (Amy) Browning; daughter, Lori (Jeff) Vinci; sister, Shirley (Bill) Fithen; grandchildren, Martina (Mike) Watkins and Makayla (John Humpe) Marko, Tyler Browning and Grace Browning; great-grandchildren, Cora and Andi Watkins and sisters-in-law, Gloria Mercer and Carolyn Mercer.

Special thanks to her caregiver, Erica McClure and all the staff at Gables Care Center.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Sunday from 12 PM until time of services at 3 PM with Pastor Tom Scott and Dorman Mader officiating.
