Carole Kinney was born at home in Richmond, Ohio on January 2, 1947, and passed away on August 3, 2022, at the Carriage Inn in Steubenville, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Harold Walter and Mildred (McNinch) Kinney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard; an infant grandson, Harold; infant great granddaughter, Alessia; and her sister, Glenda.

Surviving is her daughter, Trina (fiance James) Thweatt from Yuma, AZ; son, Harold L. (Kathy) Adams from Richmond, OH; two adopted granddaughters, Rachel (fiance Eric) Kinney from Adamsville, OH and Kari A. Kinney (companion Ashlie Pasco) from Toronto, OH; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law; her siblings H. Lee Kinney (Cross Creek Twp), James C. (Cheryl) Kinney from Richmond, Sharon K. (fiance Mark) Reynolds from Snellville, GA, and Janeen G. Kinney from New Smyrna Beach, FL; her aunt, Florence L. Kinney from Sarasota, FL; and many nephews and nieces.

She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Steubenville, and active in the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 740, Richmond.

There will be no services with a family gathering at a later date. Interment will be at the United Presbyterian Cemetery in Richmond, OH. Donations can be made to the Richmond American Legion, 140 Legion Street, Richmond, OH 43944.
