Obituary

CAROLYN JEAN CLINE, 78, of East Springfield, OH, passed away suddenly Friday, December 29, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center, Canton, OH. She was a member of the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross where she was active as a 50 year choir member, leadership in United Methodist Women and various Christian endeavors throughout her life. Carolyn's first love was her family and enjoyed most spending time with them; she was her grandchildren's favorite babysitter. She was a former member of the Sweet Adelines and the Girl Scouts. Carolyn and her husband, Red, were 4-H advisors in Jefferson County for many years. In her free time, Carolyn enjoyed gardening, reading, painting, swimming, bicycling, singing and dancing. She, along with her family, enjoyed caring for their farm and animals. She was born in East Liverpool, OH, April 29, 1928, a daughter of the late William and Olga Vivian (Allison) Stevenson. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, David and William Stevenson. She is survived by her husband, Myron R. "Red" Cline whom she married July 1, 1950; by 5 children and their spouses: Stephanie (John) Sikora, Ashland, OH, Scott (Sharon) Cline, Franklin, IN, Valerie (Dirk) Hindrichs, Bielefeld, Germany, Mark (Cheri) Cline, Tallmadge, OH and Heidi (Marc) Garnek, North Canton, OH, a sister, Isabel Peach of Medina, OH, formerly of Steubenville, and 10 grandchildren. Visitation for Carolyn will be from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM at the East Springfield Church of the Cross on St. Rt. 43,Wednesday, January 3, 2007, with the Reverend Jared Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the East Springfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent to the East Springfield United Methodist Church of the Cross, PO Box 6, East Springfield, OH 43925.
