CAROLYN L. DAWSON, 67, of R.D.Hopedale (Annapolis), OH, passed away Thursday, September 21, 2006 at her home of natural causes. She was a bookkeeper for Boich Mining. She was an active member of the Kilgore Evangelical Church where she was the organist and a Sunday School teacher. She was the former organist at the Smithfield Evangelical Friends Church and was an active member of the Harrison County Farm Bureau. Mrs. Dawson was born September 26, 1938 in Hocking County, OH, a daughter of the late Gerald M. and Bessie (Dawley) Martin. She is survived by her husband, Myron M. Dawson, by 2 sons, Greig L. McCoy and wife Jacqueline of Rayland and Mark L. McCoy and wife Rhonda of Amsterdam; by 2 step-sons, Yale R. Dawson and wife Cathy of Bloomingdale and Neal L. Dawson and wife Joan of Hopedale; 2 step-daughters, Peggy Smith and husband Mike of Lewisville, OH and Jeannette Winkle and husband Robert of Waupun, WI; 17 grandchildren: Shai, Colin, and Ian McCoy, Cody, Abbi and Molly McCoy, Melinda and Brent Smith, Victoria and Chad Dawson, Caleb, Nelson, Seth and Sally Winkle, and Danae, Allison and Drew Dawson; a brother Derol Martin and wife Jacque of Piney Fork, 3 sisters, Rita Zifzal and husband Gene and Anita Carson and husband Thomas "Ed", both of Dillonvale and Eleanor Martin of Smithfield. Funeral services for Mrs. Dawson will be 11 AM Monday at her church, the Kilgore Evangelical Church on St. Rt. 9 with Pastor Terry Will officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Cemetery.
