Charles Leonard Boyer Sr., 84, of Bloomingdale, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2025. He was born on May 19, 1941, in New Cumberland, WV, to the late James and Anna (Cooper) Boyer. In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his infant brother, James Boyer; his brothers, Ray "Bill", James "Bus", Harry, Steve, Kenneth, and Rev. Edward Boyer; and his sister, Dorothy Brandon.

He was a devoted man of faith who loved to serve at any capacity he could. For more than 50 years, he was a cherished member of Restoration Church in Steubenville, where he faithfully served as an Elder for many years.  His dedication to the church was not only spiritual but also tangible—he was among the few who helped build the sanctuary where generations of members continue to worship today.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jo-Ann (Smith) Boyer; his children, Charles (Becky) Boyer Jr., James Boyer, Donna (Gary) Merrill, Carol (John) Mills, Pennie Haysler, Sherry (Clark) Lash; step children, William (Troylynn) Boggs, Danice Ryan, Joanie (Terry) McManus, and Lori Iafrate; his brother, Donald "Pete" Boyer; and his sisters, Virginia Lang, MaryAnn Kukich, Juanita Roush, and Bonnie Hoberek; and his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Restoration Church, 108 Phillips Ln, Steubenville, Ohio, 43952, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 10 A.M. until time of services at 12 P.M. with Pastor Gary Lilly officiating. Burial will follow at Richmond Union Cemetery.
