Obituary

Charles M. Cooper, 84 of Port Orange, FL passed away Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL. Charles was born June 26, 1926 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Charles L. and Anna Mae Martin Cooper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Florence Cooper in 1995 and his second wife Shirley Cooper in 2004. Two brothers, Bob and Jack Cooper, four sisters, Mary Jane Cerra, Helen Pleise, Karen Davis, and Ruth Parks. He was a Veteran of the US Army in WWII and was owner/ operator of Ewing Gulf Service. He was a member of Wintersville American Legion Post #557, 50 year member Cyrus Masonic Lodge F&AM #148 in Pennington, NJ, Swance Valley Vega Bonds RV Club, and was Presbyterian by faith. He is survived by his step-son, Barry Sharp of Morrow, GA; step-daughter, Sherri (Theodore) Briggs of Amity, PA; brother, William Cooper of Florida, two sisters, Catherine Dillinger of Fairborn, OH and Connie Snyder of Wintersville, OH. There will be a funeral service for Charles on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Fort Steuben Burial Estates Chapel in Wintersville at 12:30 PM.
