Charles A. "Chuck" Dougherty, Jr. of Richmond, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.
He was born December 30, 1931 in Wintersville, Ohio, a son of the late Charles A. and Genevieve Peterson Dougherty, Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Daugherty and sisters Phyllis Tipton and Marian Daugherty.
Chuck retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel at the Mingo Jct., Ohio Plant after 44 years of service. He was a member of the Wellsburg Moose Lodge. He loved tractor pulls and demolition derby's.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ruth D. Milewsky Dougherty; Sons, Dean A. (Tammy) Dougherty of Wintersville, Charles R. "Chuck" (Kathy) Dougherty of Osceola, IN, and Paul Dougherty of Richmond; grandchildren, Ryan Dougherty, Stacey Dougherty, Jessie Dougherty, Desiree Dougherty, and Kaitlin Dougherty; two great-grandsons Gauge and Nathaniel; Sister, Sandy (Norman) Capers of Bloomingdale, OH; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St, Richmond on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services Thursday 11 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Carol Smith and Rev.
