CHARLES S. HECKATHORN, 69, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2016 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Charlie was a Toronto native who was born in Steubenville, OH March 15, 1947, a son of the late Kenneth and Virginia Skeeles Heckathorn.

He was a Toronto High School and Franciscan University graduate who's career was as a material control manager for Consolidated Coal Company.  After retirement, he and Dani moved to Las Vegas where he was a casino slot attendant for over 10 years. They returned to Steubenville earlier this year.

He was a member and had been an active participant of the Richmond Methodist Church, was a member of the Richmond Lions Club and the Richmond Historical Society.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Dani (Zori) Heckathorn, his sons, Troy (Karen) Heckathorn and Jason (Jessica) Heckathorn and grandson, Luca; his brothers, Bill (Marcie)Heckathorn, Wally (Tonnie) Heckathorn and sister, Kay Pauley and brother in law, Bob (Barbara) Zori.

Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 680 Canton Rd, Wintersville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.  Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Georgette Gaston officiating.

Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Steubenville.
