Charles "Chuck" E. Turner, 84, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away June 3, 2013 at Acuity Hospital, Steubenville.
He was born May 5, 1929 in Steubenville, Ohio a son of the late Charles and Annabelle (Gregory) Turner.
Chuck served his country in the United States Army.
He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel where he worked on the railroad.
He was a member of the Steubenville Moose and Wintersville American Legion Post 557.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley (Linn) Turner of Wintersville; sons, Keith (Debbie) Turner of Toronto, Ohio and Charles "Dick" (Mary) Turner of Columbus, Ohio; Stepchildren, Cynthia (David) Hollingsworth of New Orleans, Curtis (Faye) Chambers of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roger (Nancy) Chambers of Wintersville, and Charles Chambers of Anchorage, Alaska; sister, Shirley Turner; mother-in-law, Olive Linn of Wintersville; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Joni.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Westling officiating.
Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
