Clyde S. Knox, 80, of Amsterdam, OH, passed away April 14, 2015 at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville.

He was born October 29, 1934 in Follansbee, WV a son of the late Chester and Martha (Seitter) Knox.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Mae Morelli.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Amsterdam.

Clyde served his country in the National Guard. He worked as an operating engineer for Local 18. Clyde was formerly a member of the Amsterdam Lions Club where he was a past president.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Knox; sons, Jeffrey Knox and Mark (Sue) Knox; daughters, Carol (Joe) Grimes, Susan (Bill) Myers, and Marcy (Chris) Koehler; brother, David Knox; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Friday from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 1 PM with Pastor Wesley George officiating.
