We were very blessed with a boy who brought joy, lightheartedness and smiles to everyone he came into contact with. He had the soul of a saint, and the strength of a lion. In the early hours of Sunday morning, Colton left us to go on to better things. His fight is over and his pain is gone. I'm sure he danced all the way to the gates! You're sure going to be missed buddy.

Colton is survived by his parents, Jay and Barbara (Morgan) Burkey; his brother, Cody (Audrey) Alford; his nephew, Shawn Alford; his grandmother, Joyce Burkey; his uncle, Jody Burkey; and his many other extended family.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James H. Burkey.

In honor of Colton's wishes, there will be no services held.
