Curtis H. "Bud" Jones, 90, of Richmond , OH , passed away July 4, 2015 at his son's home in Charlottesville , VA surrounded by his children.
He was born March 15, 1925 in East Springfield , OH , a son of the late John W. and Sarah Agnes (Wiley) Jones.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah "Becky" Jones who passed away on May 17, 2010; children, Michael Jones, Bill Milhoan, and Colleen Jones; and brother, John William Jones.
Bud served his country in the United States Navy during WWII where he flew 31 missions as a radio man tail gunner. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and a Presidential Unit Citation.
Bud was a member of the Richmond United Methodist Church . He retired from the US Postal Service.
He is survived by his sons, John E. (Jeanette) Jones of Charlottesville, VA, and David L. (Camille) Jones of Toronto, OH, daughters, Hope Eimer (Ron Huggins) of Amsterdam, OH and Jennifer E. (Charles) Lawrence of McDonald, PA; and daughter-in-law Carolyn Milhoan of Irondale, OH. Bud is also survived by six grandchildren: Debbie Maple, Deanna (George) Russell, Bobbi (Kevin) Whisman, Jaime (Chuck Van Horn) Jones, John "Jack" (Ashley) Jones and Andrew Jones, five step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St ., Richmond where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Hukill.
Full Military Honors will follow at the funeral home.
