Dana H. Gilcrest, 86, of Irondale, OH, passed away July 28, 2019 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville.

He was born February 20, 1933 in Hammondsville, OH, a son of the late Lawrence B. and Nell (Hesse) Gilcrest.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Dana served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post 557, Wintersville, OH.

He retired from Ohio Edison W.H. Sammis Plant.

Dana was an avid Ohio State fan.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Roth) Gilcrest; son, Philip (Lori) Gilcrest; granddaughter, Stephanie (Chris) Gilcrest-Wyss; great granddaughter, Zoey; and nephew, Dana A. (Carol) Gilcrest.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville with full Military Honors.
