Daniel Gilcrest, 27, of Irondale, OH, passed away May 5, 2015 at Ambridge, PA.

He was born May 28, 1987 in Steubenville, OH, a son of Dana and Carol (Smith) Gilcrest of Irondale, OH.

Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Kent Gilcrest; paternal grandmother, Nancy Gilcrest; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Smith; maternal grandfather, Vernon Smith; and Uncle, Brent Gilcrest.

In addition to his parents, Dana and Carol, he is survived by his sisters, Jennifer (Sam) Newell of Orwell, OH and Christine (Dennis) Slabaugh of Marysville, OH; nieces and nephews, Deven, Logan, Mackenzie, Bethany, Renee, and Quinn; aunt and uncle, Dana H. (Evelyn) Gilcrest of Irondale; companion Cassie Waldron of New Cumberland; paternal step grandmother, Janice Gilcrest of Texas; he will be greatly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins who dearly loved him.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville where funeral services will be on Monday at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Richard Clark officiating.

Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville.
