Daniel M. Steele, 55, of Wintersville, OH, passed away October 16, 2015 at Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville after his 16 month courageous battle with cancer.

He was born December 10, 1959 in Steubenville, OH, a son of Barbara A. (Letzelter) Steele of Wintersville, OH and the late Jack C. Steele.

Dan was a member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church.

Dan graduated in 1978 from Wintersville High School. He worked for his brother at Steele's Concessions. Dan loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his brothers, Frank (Lynn) Steele of Euclid, OH and Jack (Debra) Steele of Bloomingdale, OH; sisters, Linda (Mike) Sperlazza of Steubenville, OH and Christine (David) Antonelli of Winterville; 9 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 great nieces, and a great nephew; and his dog, Sadie.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd., Wintersville on Sunday from 12 Noon until time of the memorial service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Clint Quillen officiating.
