Obituary
David Wayne Batting, 64 of Wintersville, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at his home.
He was a car enthusiast, custom painter, and musician that loved playing music. Dave was a Veteran of the US Navy and was Methodist by faith.
Dave was born June 6, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of George Edward Batting and Minnie Viola Chappell both of Wintersville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Edward Batting.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his companion, Mariann Morris Nelson of Wintersville, two sons, Derek I. Batting of Michigan and Shawn Eric Nelson of New Philadelphia, OH, two daughters, Holly Malana (Brandon) Clark of Dover, DE and Cherie Nelson of Steubenville, eight grandchildren.
