David W. Findlay, 64, of Steubenville , Ohio , passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at his home.

He was born August 29, 1947 in Steubenville , Ohio , a son of the late William and Betty (Jenkins) Findlay . He was a retired Postal employee and a veteran of the United States Air Force.

David was a member of Steubenville Moose Lodge 619, Steubenville VFW, and Steubenville American Legion Post 33.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet (Michael) Mantos of Wintersville; grandson, Jeriah Mantos of Wintersville; brothers, Ron Findlay of Bluffton, SC, Gary (Mary) Findlay of Papillion, Nebraska, and Bill Findlay, Jr. of Raleigh, NC; and sister, Janet Findlay of East Springfield.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd. , Wintersville on Thursday from 5 PM until time of service at 7 PM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions may be sent to a local veteran's organization in memory of David.
