David E. Maple, 81, of East Springfield, OH, passed away March 8, 2020 at his home.

He was born September 20, 1938 in East Springfield, OH, a son of the late Floyd and Dorothy Marie (DeVore) Maple.

David served his country in the United States Army.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, W. Dale Maple, Donald L. Maple, and Evelyn Generous and infant grandson, Landon Morrison.

He was an avid fisherman and had a great love of the outdoors and his dogs.

David is survived by his loving wife of 49½ years, Susan A. (Oldaker) Maple; daughters, Jodi (Robert) Waugh and Amanda (David) Yonts; four grandchildren, Tory, Nycole, Ryder, and Nellie; niece, Deborah (Eugene Potts) Generous, and several other nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 W. Main St., Richmond on Wednesday from 3 PM until time of funeral services at 6 PM.

Private burial at Simmons Ridge Cemetery.
